Note: In years past, we were told not to use 911 from mobile phones because of difficulty locating the caller.  Technology has since changed.  Now use both home and cell phone to call 911.

Provides 24 hour uniformed law enforcement patrol services for the contract cities of Saratoga, Cupertino and Los Altos Hills as well as the unincorporated areas (like Creston). The West Valley Division is based at the Westside Sheriff's Sub-station, located in the community of Cupertino. Besides providing police services to the three contract cities, they also provide police services to the unincorporated areas of North/West Santa Clara County. The Division's responsibilities include providing patrol and traffic functions, Special Enforcement Details, Investigative Services.


A relevant yahoo interest group is the Community Alert Program, an email community alert (eCAP) service prepared by the Santa Clara County Sheriff for Cupertino and adjacent areas, like Creston. Anyone interested in receiving crime or community alert notifications can subscribe to these targeted bulletins. The Creston community falls within the "beat area W3".
